Hello, My name is Bill Moran
I am the sound and voice of Billmoranmusic.
I love to entertain and have fun with all my audiences. I am a fan of all music, as you can see from my songlist. I grew up playing country and classic rock with my family band (Higher Ground) starting at the age of 12 years old. My younger brothers and my dad comprised the band. As we grew up and started getting better, we added more members.
In the mid 90’s we had an opportunity to audition as the station band for WITL in Lansing , one of the largest radio stations in Michigan. We were picked as the station band and that led to a 2-year stint of opening for lots of big-named artists such as: Alabama, The Mavericks, Steve Wariner, John Michael Montgomery, Brooks and Dunn, and many more. That was a great period of my musical career.

My wife (Roxanne) and I met each other when we were 15 years old and have been married for 33 years. We have 3 kids Lindsey, Jake, and Josh. They are great kids! Lindsey and Jake inherited the love of music gene. When Lindsey was 6 years old, she sang 3 songs on the big stage when we opened for Alabama. We had to push her on the stage, but once she got out there she was hooked.

My son Jake has soared to the top of his musical career. Jake was on American Idol in the 2022 season. He made it to the top 20 before being voted off. What an experience for him, as he has moved to California to chase his musical dreams. Jake has become very popular with his live performances and has dominated social media having thousands of followers. If you want to see him, he is all over every social media (Jacob Moran on American Idol).

Originally all my kids and my son-in-law Eddie had our own band until Jake left for California and the grandkids (Little Eddie and Kenny) came along. So now I am doing what I love by myself now with the help of my beautiful wife. My logo says I play “music that moves you” and I really try to play that kind of music. As you can see from my songlist, I do all kinds of music including: Country, Classic Rock, Oldies, and Dance music. I am always looking to entertain at events all across the Tri state area. I hope you enjoy listening to the “music that moves you” In your town!
